I never really thought of sleep as being motivational, but in a strange way, it is.
Today is a prime example, last night I went to bed wondering if I’d figure out today why a piece of code was exhibiting some odd behaviour.
Almost automatically, I knew exactly where to look when I went back to the project this afternoon. My brain had figured it all out for me. That is the beauty of sleep!
On a side note, It makes me wonder if the sedation I experience with medication is actually the thing that’s doing the most to keep me well. In other words, the side effect of the medication is the best treatment of all – being able to rest easy.
